MEET THE EXPERTS

The Fade Project features licensed mental health professionals, researchers, historians, barbers, and community leaders who help provide deeper insight into the issues explored throughout the film.

Through their professional experience and personal perspectives, our experts examine the stigma surrounding therapy, emotional wellness, masculinity, trauma, medication, relationships, identity, and the cultural importance of the Black barbershop.

Their voices help connect the personal stories in the documentary to broader conversations affecting Black men and their families. Together, they offer education, context, and practical guidance while showing that healing can take many forms—and often begins with an honest conversation.
